Since 1875, Johnson City Lodge No. 486 has been a cornerstone of Masonic tradition and community service in East Tennessee.
Our story began in 1875, when ten dedicated brothers petitioned the Grand Lodge for a dispensation to work as a Masonic Lodge. From our first meeting in the John Bowman Building at Market Street and Fountain Square, we've been at the heart of Johnson City's growth and development.
1875: Founded during Johnson City's emergence as the region's economic center
1957: Established our permanent home on Watauga Avenue
Today: Continuing our tradition of fellowship and service

Johnson City Masonic Lodge #486 F&AMJohnson City, Tennessee
From the early days of Johnson City's development to the present, we've been integral to the community's growth, with many of our members serving as civic and business leaders.
Our temple on Watauga Avenue stands as a testament to the dedication of our brothers who worked tirelessly to establish a permanent home for our lodge.
While honoring our traditions, we continue to evolve and adapt, ensuring our teachings and practices remain relevant for future generations.
We welcome inquiries from men of good character who seek to join our fraternity.
Stated meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM.
